Five Iron Golf

Five Iron is an indoor golf simulator facility that offers a variety of different amenities so you can work on your game, have food and drink, party with your corporate team, or get fitted for clubs. The simulators use the TrackMan tracers with multiple camera angles, computers, couches, and highly customizable stats. Practicing here, you can pinpoint every exact detail of what ails your swing and fix it on the spot. When I first came here, it was to get fitted for clubs. That change alone dropped my golf scores significantly. Next I was able to buy a package of lessons with the in house golf professionals. Then armed with better fitting gear and some good guidance, I was able to drastically improve my game and even start competing in local tournaments around WA. Another thing that is interesting about these sims is that they also have fun kids games and can use a variety of balls like soccer balls, etc. - so this is a family friendly place as well. The most valuable deal 5i offers is their monthly membership which gets you discounted food and drink, a free swing eval with a pro, and also lots of opportunities to walk in and play whenever bays are available. I’ve been a member for over a year now and it’s been worth every penny. After being a member for a while I started getting involved in their quarterly competitive golf leagues where you can get paired up with other local golfers and go team vs team for 8-10 weeks. It’s a blast and you will make friends - even if you’re not yet good at golf. Overall the staff are friendly, the technology is top tier, and the vibe is fun. If you want to socialize and also become a much better golfer regardless of the Seattle weather, then this is the place.

So, I’ve been there three times, great on the first two, they will chill. Last time the system they use to track the ball SUCKED it errored out every three hits. But they got it fixed kind of (you also get different experience based on the bat that you use) so yay, second they were out of churros and said they refund it (cause I paid) didn’t get a refund not a big deal I’ll loose 5 dollars. I’m hoping next time the system they use tracks the ball better!
